Displaying business cards

Hello everyone, hope you're having a great week.  I will be participating in a craft show next week and need to have some buisness cards handy.  I want to display them in a nice way, but my brain is kind of dead right now with all the pressure of finishing things on time for the show.  Please if any body has any ideas will be much appreciated, here's the only thing I can think of:

I just finished this basket, loving the fleur de lis from the graphics fairy.

And this was very ugly inside, I just decoupaged some sheet music and voila.

Also I was thinking about just putting the business cards in a tea cup, what do you think?

Which version do you prefer?

Thank you all for your advice and have a fantastic day.

Fabulous white

Hello everybody, since it's spring and the days have been nice here for a change, I wanted to show you some projects that I've been working on and put them in a little vignette

Just finished transforming these birdhouses, they were all kind of pastel colors, green, pink, yellow, etc.  I painted them white and gave them a coat of water based stain, some embellishments and they are ready for the show.

I've seen this cute bird all over blogland, now I have my own.  The bird picture frame was all gold, I painted it white and rubbed off some of the paint, added an old book page and a bird, now is ready for the show too.

That's it for now. Hope you're having a wonderful spring.

Parade O' Pillows

I Just finished some pillows that I started some time ago.  I'm addicted to them, they are very easy to sew and make a big impact on anything you want to decorate.
The graphics are from the Graphic's Fairy

Cute bird

This is a small pillow 10" X 8"

Burlap fleur de lis

I love this one

Look at that birdcage, so french.

Viva la France

What can I say about this one.

What projects have you been working on?

Price tags

I have an upcoming show for mother's day and decided to cut down costs a little bit.
I had some scraps of paper and thought that I could save a little if I made my own price tags. (It just cost me some time, but that I have enough, I will just go to sleep one hour later)

I also had on hand a french column stamp and gave me an idea.
I first stamped the paper, then tore off the sides, leaving just the top side intact.

Then brewed some coffee (drank one cup first) and then drowned the tags in the leftover coffee.

Let them dry and oh, oh, the stamped faded with the coffee

After the tags dried I had to stamp them again.  Actually the faded stamp gave them a more worn look, I'm happy with them.

Now I can proceed to price my goodies.

Ta-da! ready for the show!
You can tell I'm not a photographer, look at the shadow in that pic.

Have a nice day mes amies!

I am loving white

I found this urn some weeks ago, it was love at first sight.

I just wasn't sure about all that gold, so I just took some white paint, and transformed it, what do you think, much better?

We love birdhouses at home

I'm dying to have a bedroom like this, isn't it beautiful?

My spoon re-do

I have previously showed you pictures of an awesome find, remember this?

I decided that gold is not for me, so I painted it white, then rubbed off some of the paint to show the details

I have an awkward layout in the kitchen, there is absolutely no wall space for anything, so I had to hang my spoon here.

I love the "frenchy" details, yes that is a fleur de lis.

I like how it turned out.  I didn't know what to put on it so I just threw in there some ivy, should I go with this look?

Or this one:

Thank you for stopping by.  Until next time mes amies.

Need help from bloggers, decorators, everybody!

In previous posts I have showed you pictures of some of my decor at home.  It's very country, some things are very rustic and I want to change all that. I am tired of country.  I want a beautiful home with French inspired decor, lots of patina, whites, architectural and intricate designs etc.  I know I can't have it all at once, so I've been thinking on changing my decor little by little.
The first thing I want to do is get rid of this wall paper in my living room AKA "library".  My husband loves it but I don't like it (it came with the house) he said I can change it if I want to, he just doesn't want it to be removed and noting put back there. In a few words, he likes wall paper borders.

So what I'm asking of you is, if you know a place where I can get a nice "french looking" wall paper border. Is there such thing as that?????  Or if you have any ideas on how to change the look of that thing I would greatly appreciate it.

Please don't mind the dust. I actually like the corbels, are they called that?  I want to keep those.

It doesn't matter how crazy the idea could sound, just let me know what you think.

Thank you all for your help.

More ballerinas

I haven't been that creative this past week, the only thing I have to show you is this ballerina stool that I just finished.
I'm very bad at taking pictures at the "befores", just picture this little stool a dark maroon color with a christmas scene in it.

The graphics are from The graphics fairy, I chose this ballerina because it has a good amount of pink and matches the color of the stool.

I'm working on some pillows right now, so far none finished.  I paint the images by hand, it takes me some time to get them done.
