I can't believe is Wednesday again!
Today I want to show you my latest find
I really don't know what it is, but I love it.
When I saw the Fleur de Lis on the top I had to have it
The door opens and closes, I was able to put inside a bird nest that hubby and son found a few weeks ago
It's missing 3 pieces of glass on the top, I don't know if that is the way it should be, or if it should have glass in all the panels.
does anybody know what the name of this "thingy" is?
Happy white Wednesday to all!
Ido

Oh my I love this! It is intended for plants in a conservatory. It would have glass in all the panels. I love garden antiques like this! It just gives me chills. I love how you are displaying it. I love nests too, but they can be tricky to display. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a lantern...beautiful find!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I have one similar, except it has a bird on top. It is called a terranium and used for growing plants - like a mini greenhouse. x Sharon
ReplyDeleteHi Ido, lovely to meet you! I tried dried lavender in my linen closet but to no avail...the scent only lasted a few weeks. The essential oil lasts longer in the tags because they are clay and more absorbent. In a closed closet the smell is divine! It can also be easily re-scented with the oil in a couple of months when it fades. I don't see why a dryer sheet will not work....as long as it is absorbent. Make sure you use pure essential oil...much stronger and you need far less!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day xox Kerry
Great find! The bird house looks great in it.
ReplyDeleteHi Ido,
ReplyDeleteI love it! I think it could be a terranium. But whatever it might be it's certainly a great find and a perfect place to display your cute little bird's nest. Sweet! Oh, and by the way...the edges of my ruffles on my pillow were left unfinished for that shabby chic frayed look :-)
Hugs and Kisses,
♥Ana
I love the terrarium with your new found birds nest.
