First giveaway!

I'm so excited to have my first giveaway!.  Since I can't stop painting and creating new things everyday, I've been thinking seriously about opening an online store, but I'm going to need your help! Here's what you have to do to enter my giveaway:

1. For a chance to win leave me a comment on this post (If you have an online store/etsy store tell me about your experiences, whys, dos and dont's, if it was easy to set up your account, etc. Doesn't matter if it's a long comment, the longer the better, any advice would be much appreciated).  Also you need to choose 3 scents from the list below and tell me which ones you like in your comment, if you win, those are the scents of the soaps you will be receiving (That way I know what scents people likes the most and which ones I don't need to make anymore)

2.  For a second chance to win, become a follower of my blog, leave me a comment letting me know you follow.

3.  For a third chance to win,  post about my giveaway on your blog and please let me know.  You can combine #2 & #3 in a single comment.

Okay, so what is the prize you may be asking, well, here it is:

Three hand made (by moi) soaps and a box covered in old book pages (I hope you like the prize)

These are the scents you need to choose from:

  3. Hi! I was so excited to see that you found my blog and decided to follow. thank you! Your soaps look great. Snowy Forest is my favorite name. We don't get much snow down here in Ga. so any snow (whether soap or real) is magical. I am in the process of opening an online store too. I have a website but it was not functional or pretty so we are trying to get a new one. It is a 3 month process full of terms I have never heard of and decisions that I have no idea what they mean but hopefully it will be worth it. I'll let you know in a few months. I hope it is easier than running a store in a VERY small town in rural Georgia.

  5. If you enjoy making your hand crafted soaps, you really should sell them online. Best of luck in your adventure.

  6. Hi Ido, I have an Etsy shop and I LOVE IT. It is easy to set up. Just follow the instructions carefully. I used to sell on eBay but now only do so very seldom (for me the insertion fee and selling fees were too high)
I like the small fees on Etsy (20c for each item you list)which is then active for 4 months (I think)
Payment for your item is received in advance (Must have PayPal account). Bookeeping is made easy. Etsy is the most user friendly way to sell and or shop. All products are handmade, you will be in good company.
Let me know if I can help.

  7. I don't have an online store, but just in case Canadians are eligible: I would only be able to use the natural scented soaps, and I'd choose Spearmint & Eucalyptus, Citrus & Chamomile, and Spiced coffee.

  8. These are my three favorite scents:
    Black Raspberry Vanilla
    Coconut Creme
    Chocolate Cake

I just set up an etsy shop, QuirkyQuail if you would like to visit. In fact I have just made my first sale, I was so excited I didn't know what to do with myself. I really don't have any good advice, but thought it quite easy to set up. Hope I win these wonderful soaps.

  13. I don't have an Etsy store and I only recently started browsing around, but it's so fantastic! This year for Christmas I plan on doing some shoppong over there and I think it would be great if you set up shop! I bet once you got set up you could offer giveaways on other blogs, so that you could get the word out there!

  15. I'd have to chose from those scents? Thats hard, they all sound dreamy. Anything vanilla is always good for me, and add berries, even better.

My tip for Etsy? List often, not all at once. If you have ten things to list, do it over 3 days, a few a day.

Keep the shop full as possible too.

You might notice, that I don't follow my own advice right now... but when I did, it worked!
